Will the Smoking Ban in public places in England, to be introduced in July, cause more bingo players to play online rather than in their local bingo halls?
Certainly, in Scotland, the bingo halls are suffering since the introduction of the ban and it seems that many of them have started to play online. Will this be the case in England?
I certinly think it will although I suspect to a lesser degree, mainly down to the slightly warmer climate. I'm sure it'll have a big effect though and we'll see bingo halls closing down over the coming year or two.
Whatever happened to sensible legislation where pubs and clubs could have introduced a smoking room or area. Even a proper shelter outside would be ok. At the moment shelters are only allowed to be 50% covered which is ok in warmer countries but not with the UK's horizontal rain!
Vote and less us know what the concensus of opinion is.
